Problem:
As pet obesity continues to increase in the UK, food resources for animal shelters in war-torn regions are decreasing. Almost 60% of domestic cats are overweight. Despite the serious health consequences of excess weight, surveys show that pet owners often do not perceive their pet’s weight as a problem. Many animal shelters worldwide are running out of food or have already completely run out, relying on money raised or from their own pockets. Especially in war-torn regions, more animals wander homeless.
Solution:
How can we solve both these problems? By providing cats in the UK with high-quality, portion-controlled food and including a promise to send food with every purchase, we can address both pet obesity in the UK and food shortages in animal shelters abroad.
